Redmine is a flexible open source project management web application that’s designed to help your project management teams to stay on top of every project. Redmine allows you to configure it to make it to suit your business needs.

With Redmine you will get access to an array of plug-ins that can make your project management and all related processes very easy. Redmine also gives you an excellent platform for budgeting, collaboration, customization, issue tracking, learning and support, notifications, and resource management. Redmine displays your project information, deadlines, and task assignments using a variety of calendars and Gantt charts. To facilitate analysis and monitoring, your entire project workload is presented in one place.

All your workers are able to have different roles in public and private projects. This can be presented in a customized way. Depending on their position in the hierarchy, Redmine helps your administrators define roles and also limit access to users. Using the issue tracking feature, your managers can be able to create custom statuses and define types of issues, writing protocols for each type.

It presents a graphical presentation that your employees can use to better envision their workflow and thereby get an accurate view of the big picture. The time tracking feature enables your managers to track how much time your employee or your team takes to handle a ticket or even a complete project. Redmine will present all this information in concise reports. If you are a large public project that doesn’t want to spend money on expensive proprietary software, then Redmine is perfect for you.
