The Granite State College’s Master of Science in Project Management is a practice-oriented program ideal for managers who want to enhance their ability to integrate complex projects, motivate people, and achieve cost-effective results. The program is built around the demands of today’s business environment, featuring courses that are designed to help you advance your career, by providing you with skills applicable to a variety of industries. The program’s online format is highly convenient for working professionals with busy and hectic schedules, allowing them to earn the degree quickly and affordably while still working. The online Master’s degree features three delivery formats: fully online – where course instruction occurs completely online and there is no face-to-face requirement; online blended – where course instruction occurs completely online throughout the term and includes weekly scheduled live video sessions between students and the instructor; and online hybrid format – where course instruction occurs completely online throughout the term and incorporates several live video sessions between students and the instructor. Applications for admission to the program are accepted on a rolling basis, offering interested persons the opportunity to begin studies at any term during the year. The school also accepts transfer of previously earned credits from colleges or universities that are regionally accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. This can also save you time in completing your degree.

Courses in the program include: Project Planning and Scheduling; Risk Management; Cost and Budget Management; Negotiation, Contracting and Procurement; and Project Quality Management. Students will also participate in both a Project Management Seminar and Capstone project. Most of these courses are designed to help you attain competency in the components of project management required for certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP). Graduates of the program will demonstrate the ability to: manage changing project management environments including human resources, cost, timelines, and workflow; lead people and teams to excellence in projects and organizational settings; communicate effectively throughout the project management cycle.
