Throughout the course of the program, you will have the opportunity to engage in learning activities with faculty who are specialists in the field of project management. Yu will also learn along and interact with peers who bring diverse experiences in managing projects across a wide range of public and private industries and organizations. To earn Walden’s MS in Project Management, you will be required to complete a total of 30 semester credit hours; 27 credits are covered in project management core courses while 3 credits are earned in a capstone course. The project management capstone course will give you an opportunity to put into practice the project management skills learned throughout the program on a real-world project. You will also be eligible to earn a Project Management certificate if only you complete specified courses during the degree program. Walden’s MS in Project Management is accredited by the Global Accreditation Center (GAC) of the Project Management Institute (PMI®), and the university is also a PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.). In this regard, each project management course offered at Walden is worth 45 professional development units toward PMP certification. Graduates of this program will be prepared to manage individual projects from initiation to closure, which will meet stakeholder requirements and achieve the objectives of the project. They will also be able to develop project-based solutions to business problems and opportunities to achieve the strategic performance goals of an organization.
