ARIS Express represents free modeling software. This software is perfect for occasional users and beginners in Business Process Management and most important, is not a limited demo or trial version, it is free of charge. It has intuitive user interface which means that modelers can work productively from the start and the latest improvements in modeling assistances enable instant results.
Models for organizational structures, processes, application systems, data, and more are also provided as well as free training material available in ARIS Community. Additional highlights especially for BPM beginners, beside standard modeling functionalities, are offered by ARIS Express, which implies: smart design that enables capturing company information fast and easy based on a spreadsheet-view.
This means that users can concentrate on the content, not taking care of modeling standards or correct placement of objects; idea of model fragments. For example – users have to take care of modeling conventions during modeling organizational structures and now, this problem can be handled by definition of fragments as a combination of objects; context sensitive modeling as a concept of creating content in ARIS Express.
With the help of the mini toolbar, this software indicates which symbols can be used to connect to the current object and even the creation and connection of multiple objects is possible. It provides more features such as: models for process landscapes, business processes, organizational charts, IT infrastructure etc; fast modeling with the help of mini toolbar for context sensitive object placement; spreadsheet-based capturing of information and automatic generation of models with smart design functionality etc.
