The University of Texas at Dallas Full-Time MBA is a 53 credit-hour program that equips students with critical analytical and decision making skills required for a successful career as a global business leader. The program requires students to take least two semesters out of the workforce. The UT Dallas MBA features a core curriculum which students complete in 16 months, and for those extend their study with one additional semester, it can take up to 21 months. Students follow a lock-step progression of core courses for the entire program, with classes taking place from Monday to Thursday, while Fridays are reserved for career enrichment. Students are encouraged to take concentrations that feature a cluster of electives which require 12 semester credit hours. Concentrations impart an in-depth understanding and expertise in a particular business discipline. Concentrations also helps students to further improve their analytical and communication skills while putting theory into practice, and develop vital decision making skills necessary to succeed in a global economy. UT Dallas MBA students have at their disposal ample professional development opportunities in the form of experiential learning classes, case competitions, professional and academic-related student groups, MBA speaker events, alumni engagement events and the Power of Two Mentor Program. These programs allow students to gain real-world experience dealing with real-world problems. In the Power of Two Mentor Program, mentors provide students with insight on what entails the business world and how it works. The Full-Time MBA alumni are also an integral part of the MBA experience as they serve as professional and academic guides to our students. The school’s Career Management Center (CMC) also offers specific tools and professional development programs to help MBA students develop a career management strategy. Dedicated career coaches engage each student helping them create effective resumes, refine interviewing capabilities, and develop a customized, strategic plan that would let them obtain their desired position upon graduation.
