The University of Boston’s Questrom School of Business Full-Time MBA program curriculum focuses on contemporary business perspectives and issues, collaboration, teamwork, and entrepreneurial skills. The Full-Time MBA program’s curriculum requires 64 credits to complete including 34 credits of core courses as well as internship and Capstone components. Graduates of the program demonstrate an ethical perspective, core business knowledge and skills, leadership, innovative approach, management-systems, and a global perspective, as required for a business leader. At the beginning of the program, students study Ethical and Global Foundations, a foundational course designed to integrate you into Questrom’s community and lay a foundation for the rest of your MBA experience. The key topics in this course include; ethics and corporate social responsibility, global understanding, team skills, analytical thinking, and risk management. The first core module covers essential management concepts through a series of integrated courses that cover such topics as economics of decision, businesses and markets, business analytics, and financial accounting. The second core module covers functional areas of a business including entrepreneurship, finance, and marketing, and how such functions as service delivery, production, sales, and distribution are managed to ensure normal operation of an organization. In the spring break, students take an intensive course focused on business law that covers contemporary issues and pivotal areas of law. The third core module outlines how to strategically position, manage, and lead organizations for success. At the end of your first year, just before the summer internship, an Exploration module lets you complete up to three elective courses that will help you personalize your course of study to suit your interests and career goals. The second year gives one a chance to engage in deep functional and specialized coursework, experiential learning, and a Capstone experience that give you a functional knowledge tailored to your career plans.
