The Carlson School is renowned for preparing students to face the complex challenges of today's global marketplace. The Carlson Full-Time MBA program is taught by internationally renowned scholars with a wealth of business experience, who are also researchers and corporate advisers who leverage their expertise to solve urgent business challenges. The program features a fully customizable, intensive curriculum comprising 64 credits studied across two academic years. In the summer prior to the start of the program, you will take online courses in accounting, finance, and economics that prepare you for the rigorous first semester. In the first year, you will take coordinated core courses that lay a solid foundation of knowledge in key business disciplines. You will then have the freedom to choose from a wide variety of electives spanning six specializations designed to help you tailor your MBA to reflect a career path that aligns with your professional interests. Electives help you to develop functional expertise in a career sector that interests you. During the course of the program, you will work in small teams and help paying clients to solve real business problems and deliver solutions that will impact their organizations. As an MBA student you will embark on a global immersion experience to develop essential business skills required for success in a global economy. Carlson Full-Time MBA students are also taken through a leadership development program which focuses on leading self, leading others, and leading organizations. The Graduate Business Career Center prepares MBA students for successful internships and job searches and connects students to top companies across the world.
