SageMath

SageMath is an open source mathematics software system. SageMath is built on the foundation of many existing open source packages such as matpoltib, NumPy and many more. SageMath combines all these open software packages through a python-based language or directly via wrappers and interfaces.

SageMath provide users with a user interface principle that provides question and answer feature that is also found in software systems. SageMath provides its users with the Quickstart feature which provides a short introduction on how to interact with SageMath.

Proper installation of the Quickstart feature, enable users to be guided more easily on how to interact with SageMath by providing screenshots that contain more details about SageMath. The interact feature provides an interactive tool for the users to dynamically visualize the impact of parameters on calculations.

The visualization is done in a general way using the basic functionality of python. The graphics feature shows examples of useful plots and visualizations to the user. SageMath also provides the SageMath in research feature that is useful to users doing higher mathematics.

SageMath is also able to rate itself using the SageMath Benchmarks that has the ability of comparing memory or speed of SageMath with other systems. This is ideal as users are guaranteed to get most functions of SageMath in a fast and convenient way.

SageMath provides the tab-completion feature that enables users to enter their commands. The command-line provided by SageMath provides users with history and reverse lookup search. Users therefore only need to enter their expression and after pressing the shift key and return key, SageMath evaluate a user’s expression and returns the answers.
