Envision.js is a library which lets the users create fast, dynamic and interactive HTML5 visualizations. Envision.js offers features such as real-time data, timeSeries template, HTML5 financial chart, AJAX driven financial chart and custom built visualization. Envision.js is built on top of Flotr2 and the HTML5 Canvas which has a framework agnostic and depends on few micro libraries.
Envision.js lets the users display a visualization by using a template or by creating a custom visualization with the Envision.js API. Envision.js provides the users an easy to use pre-made visualizations for common use-cases such as an HTML5 finance chart, a summary chart and a detail chart sharing an axis.
Envision.js works by default on modern browsers, IE6-8 with FlashCanvas, and mobile touch devices with a WebKit browser which are all supported. Envision.js’ HTML5 time series chart uses the Time Series template which provides pre-built interactive visualizations matching common use-cases and the Time Series also comes with zoom support.
Envision.js’ HTML5 financial chart has data in the global namespace which specifies an initial selection and custom formatters for the x-axis labels and mouse tracking.
Envision.js’ AJAX driven financial chart uses the selection interaction callback to manage data where the selection range only triggers a single GET which could be arbitrarily complex. Envision.js’ has a custom built visualization which draws a fractal which uses the envision API and includes a Visualization, a Component, and an Interaction for zooming instead of the template and where the fractal itself is rendered using a custom flotr chart type.
