CiviCRM is a CRM software designed to help organizations build, centralize, organize and engage members through its varied features. CiviCRM provides space to consolidate all constituent information in one system and enables the organization to organize, track and manage relationships within its system too through defined fields and activity types including communication preferences.

CiviCRM also supports import/export of data for easier transition. It also includes a workflow for tracking and reacting to contributions allowing organizations to respond better and professionally to members who contribute. This feature includes customizable contribution categories, automatic receipt and thank you notes generation, and a reporting feature to summarize, review and account for contributions collected.

It also helps the organization configure and create membership programs, create online forms for memberships, and provide reminders for membership renewals that are due. It is able to translate collected contact information into member exclusive e-mail lists and groups which make communication easier and more organized. The same features and automation are also applicable for marketing e-mails.

CiviCRM also has and Event management feature that provides event templates, and scheduling tools for one-time or recurring events and activities. As all constituent information is consolidated within its system communication and engagement for events are also made easier. Forms, fields, categories and workflows can be customized and configured in CiviCRM to fit the organization’s structure and needs, including core features like CiviMail, CiviEvent and CiviCampaign. It allows for 3rd party integrations and has the following other functions to support the organization needs: reports, accounting integration, case management, advocacy campaigns and peer-to-peer fundraisers.
