Salstat

Salstat is a free and open source program application allows statistical analysis of numeric data to be performed in an easy way. Salstat simply makes data analysis friendly to the user. Salstat goal is to remove the challenges faced by users who first learn how to use statistical analysis program instead of analyzing data.

Salstat comes with a lot of inferential tests that enhance user’s understanding in data analysis. The inferential tests range from a single basic test to advanced multi sample tests. Salstat being open source, it enables users to examine the source codes themselves and also examine whether a test works or not.

The several descriptives of Salstat such as parametric and non-parametric tests with 9 forms of quantile enables users understand more about data analysis.

Salstat performs several inferential analyses for the user. In the parametric analysis, Salstat performs t-test for one, f-test, t-test for two, linear regression and univariate ANOVA between or within subjects. In the non-parametric analysis, Salstat performs the sign test, chi square, Freidman, Wilcoxon sign ranks, Wilcoxon rank sums, Kruskal-wallis and the Kolmogorov Smirnov. In data analysis charts are essential as they provide data analysts a good platform to analyze, represent and understand analyzed data.

Therefor Salstat is able to represent data in box and whisker plots, line and area charts, histograms and column and bar charts. Salstat is ideal for businesses and commerce organizations as it is able to provide web analytics, marketing features, finance features and business intelligence. In science platforms, Salstat is used in medicine, biology, agriculture and psychology or psychometrics.
