The Ohio University’s Fisher College of Business MBA program focuses on a range of contemporary business disciplines that are taught by a world-class faculty whose thought leadership provides students with access to new knowledge and makes them critical thinkers. The program features small class sizes of about 120 students making it easy for you to receive personal attention as well as actively engage and learn from your professors. The program is structured to feature an intensive 2-week orientation program at the beginning of the program in which you discover more about the Fisher MBA core and leadership foundations. In the first year of the program, students participate in core business courses that impart fundamental skills and business knowledge. The program’s core courses provide a complete understanding of the business environment through in-depth exploration of the functional areas of a business. During the summer break, most students engage in internships so as to gain experience in their area of concentration, or in the GAP program for international experience and immersion in another part of the world. In the second year, you are able to personalize your elective curriculum by choosing from more than 100 electives to complete your major in an area that aligns to your own unique career goals and interests. Students are also allowed to individualize their degree further by taking graduate courses in other colleges at The Ohio State University, if they are related to your course of study. Experiential learning is a critical component of the Fisher MBA and enables students to apply their learned skills and obtain hands-on experience through partnerships with corporations, non-profit organizations, Ohio State University, and Fisher College of Business' global alumni. Again, the program integrates leadership development in the curriculum helping graduates to develop strong leadership skills and a competitive edge in the marketplace. The program also gives students an opportunity to learn from the best in various executive speaking events, development programs, and networking opportunities.
