The Project Management degree at Lassell College is offered as a concentration in the Master of Science in Management program. Lasell’s Project Management concentration provides students with an understanding of today’s rapidly evolving economy and a growing emphasis on team-oriented, project-focused workplaces, giving them a solid advantage in an increasingly vital field. It instills in graduates the core skills required to create, define, and complete complex projects, including strong communication, business strategy, and organizational theory. Classes are capped at 23 students, ensuring a highly collaborative learning environment and committed faculty, who bring rich experience as working professionals to the classroom. You’ll also benefit from the extensive professional experiences and expertise of your classmates and peers. These will enable you to learn to apply a broad base of knowledge in diverse situations, adapt to changing circumstances, and manage teams efficiently.
The Master of Science in Management program’s curriculum is made up of 36 credits of coursework: 21 credits in the core program curriculum; 9 credits of concentration-specific courses; 6 credits of electives; and a Capstone project. The courses are modeled into either 8 or 16-week modules and are delivered fully online or in a blended on-campus format. Students may take any courses offered at the graduate level to fulfill their elective credits. Topics addressed in the Project Management concentration include: managing large-scale organizational projects from conception to completion; creating and defining project goals and objectives; leading and maintaining diverse teams; budgeting and time management. Students in the Project Management concentration complete a Capstone experience in their final semester, a research project or internship that applies their learning in a real-world setting and positions them to make an immediate impact in their chosen field. A wide range of career services programs are also availed to students to help them to develop their expertise and advance their career.
