WANdisco Data Migration Solution for Google Cloud Dataproc

WANdisco’s Active Migrator for Google Cloud Dataproc, support seamless data migration at petabyte scale and hybrid cloud use cases for on demand burst-out processing. WANdisco’s Active Migrator for Google Cloud Dataproc leverages WANdisco’s patented active-transactional replication technology to continuously transfer data as it changes in the on-premise file systems, Hadoop clusters or other cloud environments with guaranteed consistency. Google Cloud Dataproc and on-premise environments operate in parallel during migration, allowing data and applications to move in phases without disrupting normal operations. Continuous active migration eliminates WAN traffic spikes and allows high volume data transfer to keep up with the on-premise ingest rates. These capabilities also support hybrid cloud use cases for on-demand burst-out processing in which data has to move in and out of the cloud as it changes, and enable the cloud to be used for offsite disaster recovery without downtime or data loss.

“WANdisco’s Active Migrator and Hybrid Cloud solutions for Google Cloud Dataproc mean you can migrate petabytes of data without downtime or disruption, and support hybrid burst to cloud use cases that require moving data in and out of the cloud as it changes,” said WANdisco CEO & Co-founder David Richards. “Once again WANdisco has changed the game to enable large enterprises to not only move to the cloud but also leverage the massive economies of scale offered by cloud-based storage and processing.”

WANdisco is a provider of enterprise-ready, non-stop software solutions that enable globally distributed organizations to meet today’s data challenges of secure storage, scalability and availability. WANdisco’s products are differentiated by the company’s patented, active-active data replication technology, serving crucial high availability (HA) requirements, including Hadoop Big Data and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including Apache Subversion and Git.
