Spectrum is built on the Amazon CloudWatch platform, which is basically a monitoring service that AWS provides. Spectrum functions similarly to Amazon CloudWatch, tracking metrics, monitoring logs, setting alarms, and notifying users of changes or modifications made to the AWS resources. Spectrum is a server-monitoring tool. It is based on AWS CloudWatch and syncs all the alarms to its dashboard.

Users can add multiple products from multiple AWS accounts to a single dashboard. Thereafter, they can customize the type of notifications they want to receive and also share this dashboard with other users easily. Spectrum is built to be simple and friendly for all user types. It simplifies the process of delivering real-time information to users through its detailed dashboard. With Spectrum, users can monitor services like EC2. S3, Account Billing and every other service AWS CloudWatch supports.

Users are informed in real-time whenever an issue or alarm is raised, prompting them to make prompt responses to quickly address and resolve the issue. Spectrum gives users total visibility into AWS Web-based applications and services and delivers the data users need without confusing them with complex terms and complicated data visualizations.

The tool doesn’t present users with a steep learning curve as it is easy to become fully acquainted with the system. Setup and deployment is a breeze and once it’s ready, Spectrum immediately monitors for AWS ClouldWatch’s alarms. Once they are integrated, members receive a link that enables them to join the monitoring team.

The tool delivers all the information in a user-friendly, easy-to-understand dashboard with a green-red color approach to help users simply get the gist of data.
