The Georgetown University’s Full-time MBA Program is a challenging management degree that adequately prepares students to become global business leaders. The Georgetown MBA program features complex coursework, experiential learning, and the case method of learning that inspires collaboration among both students and faculty. Students begin the 60-credits program with a three-week, highly integrated course on the Structure of Global Industries (SGI's) and Accounting Fundamentals. SGI is an experiential learning course that teaches ethical decision making, importance of teamwork, persuasive communication skills, and how to identify and understand global markets. The first semester also features a comprehensive core curriculum of 15 courses covering 36 credits that place an emphasis on ethical leadership and provides students with a global management framework that lays a foundation for a successful career in management. The core curriculum covers such courses as accounting, finance, marketing, strategy, decision sciences, economics, and management. In addition to the core classes, full-time students are allowed to tailor the curriculum to meet their interests through their preferred elective courses that cover the remaining 24 credits in the second semester. These electives enable students to enhance their professional skill set to advance in today's global marketplace. Students also get to enhance their learned knowledge through credit-worthy Intensive Learning Experiences (ILEs) which include experiential learning, client-centered work, and off-site visits. Another way to customize your MBA would be taking up to 12 elective credits outside of the McDonough School of Business which could be other graduate-level courses at Georgetown University or another Washington, D.C., area accredited business school. Full-time MBA students also get an opportunity to study abroad for one semester through partnerships with four top business schools in Europe and Asia: London Business School, ESADE Business School in Barcelona, HEC Paris, and Beijing International MBA at Peking University. This facility enables the students to partner with executives from multinational organizations to address complex business challenges.
