The Michigan State University’s Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MSSCM) is a unique graduate program that provides specific knowledge of supply chain practices and technologies. The MSSCM program structure allows students to study the degree while still working in their different roles. Graduates of this program clearly understand the tactics employed by leading practitioners around the world hence they are competent enough to handle real-world challenges. The program’s curriculum is specifically designed to prepare students for advancement in supply chain management careers- including supply management, manufacturing operations, logistics, SCM consulting, service–supplier business development and operations, and SCM software support. The Master of Science in Supply Chain Management degree program features 8-week, semester-based online modules and 3-day, in-class sessions which offer one-on-one opportunities to discuss in detail the latest supply chain management technologies and theories, and how they apply to the daily operation of an efficient supply chain. Onsite sessions also offer the opportunity to network with other SCM professionals and fellow students in a wide array of industries through interactive case studies, breakout sessions, and simulation assignments. Working professionals get the flexibility they need and ample time to do their jobs as well as complete the degree. The Master’s degree is completed without committing more time on campus as happens with traditional full-time programs. Online lectures and facilitated online session are conducted by MSU faculty that ensures students acquire a world-class SCM education while keeping their career on track. To earn the degree, students are required to complete 36 credits of coursework. Admissions to this program begin in each fall and spring semesters and a minimum of two years of professional supply chain work experience is required.
