Lally school of management, Master of Science in Supply chain management produces competent individuals who are simultaneously analytical, flexible, quantitatively skilled and globally aware. The students undergo rigorous studies which enable them to identify and accurately solve dynamic problems. The program is has an interdisciplinary focus that integrates concepts from industrial marketing, operations management and information systems, in order to produce prolific graduates with both skills and knowledge needed in the highly-competitive world. Courses taught include: competitive advantage and operations strategy, advanced systems analysis and design, global sourcing and procurement, and much more. The STEM designated course uses in-class simulation games as well as offer mentoring to the students to ensure smooth, effective and wholesome learning. The adept curriculum entails three parts; a business core, a supply chain core that includes both modeling and quantitative approaches, and specialized electives that include project-based courses. The incorporation of both theory and practicum gives students world-class experience and exposure to the industry, giving them hands-on experience. The intensive semester-long capstone project gives student the opportunity to interact with partner companies to solve real-life problems related to the field. Successful completion of program requires prospects to participate in workshops which shape their career and add knowledge. Students gain practical experience through exposure to specific skill areas, role-play and practical sessions. The program, which takes less than one year, is graced with highly engaged advisory board of executives, who ensure up to date learning, and that students graduate with all the necessary skills and knowledge needed in supply chain management.
