The executive MBA offered by the Haas School of Business of the University of California, Berkeley, is a program that develops leaders who are capable of redefining how we do business. This program delivers rigorous general management education with the same high course standards and drawing from the top faculty pool as the Haas Full-Time MBA. Berkeley MBA for Executives’ students learn through lecture, case studies, class discussions, simulations, guest speakers, group projects, and immersive learning opportunities. You will boost your learning by studying with high caliber peers who work together rather than compete. The Berkeley MBA for Executives program takes 19 months to complete and is rooted into four pillars namely Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Finance. Classes held Thursday to Friday, once every 3 weeks, whereby you stay at the same hotel with your classmates, making it easy to collaborate, share strategies for work, life, and school, and build friendships. It begins with ten required core courses anchored in the fundamentals of business and delivered in the first three terms. The courses build upon one another and provide the analytical tools and essential knowledge to lead effectively. You will then take on electives in your final two terms which you can complete through taking Executive MBA anchor electives, independent study, and cross-listed electives at Berkeley-Haas. You will also have access to the many electives across UC Berkeley graduate programs, from engineering and education to law and public policy, based on schedule and availability. About 25 percent of the program is experiential, with five field immersions that explore leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, international business, global business, and public policy so you can apply your learned knowledge across a variety of challenges and ecosystems. And though these immersions happen off campus, the experience is 100 percent Berkeley-Haas: transformative and powered by the school’s thought leadership.
