The Pepperdine University Executive MBA is designed for mid- to senior-level business leaders and is taught in boardroom-like classes that foster an exciting, collaborative environment with a select group of senior-level peers. To be enrolled in program, a minimum of seven years of work experience is required, plus two years at the management level. The program is taught by faculty members who are among the leading authorities in their respective disciplines. They also possess significant real-world experience accrued as corporate executives and board members, successful entrepreneurs, and respected business advisors. The Pepperdine EMBA is delivered at 4 campus locations: Silicon Valley Campus, Irvine Graduate Campus, Drescher Graduate Campus in Malibu, and the West Los Angeles Graduate Campus, which is the headquarters for the Graziadio School of Business and Management. The program features a format and schedule designed for busy executives with classes being held once every three weeks on Friday afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons. The program’s AACSB accredited 45-unit curriculum concentrates on the development of strategic leadership competencies through a collaborative learning environment. This program also includes a four-day residential workshop and an eight-day international residency held at locations of emerging importance in global business. Another integral part of the EMBA curriculum is the Applied Strategic Plan. In the first trimester, students select one business, mostly the organizations they work in, as a "live case" study. Throughout each trimester, the student will assume the lead role for the organization and apply the knowledge and analytical skills acquired through each of the trimesters to conduct a series of research projects. The ASP culminates with the Strategic Management Capstone Project in which students create a comprehensive strategic plan for their firms, thereby creating value for themselves and their companies.
