The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business Executive MBA is a comprehensive, integrative program that examines today's issues from every angle to give you a total business perspective. It is designed for working professionals with several years of experience, who want to enhance their capabilities in a team-based setting. Before you can apply for the program, the college conducts a Preview Day where you can meet some of the faculty and staff, learn about the program curriculum, schedule and admissions process. By attending a Preview Day you will also be invited to join a current EMBA class session to observe, attend lunch with the current students and receive a discount on the application fee.
The Fisher Executive MBA program is structured to provide minimal disruption to your busy work schedule and personal life. On-campus sessions meet three consecutive days a month (Thursday/Friday/Saturday) over a 16-month period. The Fisher EMBA curriculum is designed to teach you, not only the fundamentals of sound business practice, but also how to think strategically and globally. This is achieved through a rigorous foundation of courses covering all major areas of business. The courses are issue-oriented and customized around the interests of your class. In addition to the core curriculum, each cohort selects five elective courses to complete the program. Students enrolled in EMBA Energy are required to take the energy specialization courses. All EMBA courses in are designed to provide you with the fundamentals of business and help you develop the managerial thinking skills you will need to become a competent business leader. Through team-taught, interdisciplinary courses, you’ll gain a comprehensive business perspective on current business management issues. You’ll also work on projects that directly relate to your current business problems, and also participate in a global integration course with a required international experience.
