IBM Notes transforms every-day email into an operational center that helps users work more productively and achieve better business results. It Increases productivity by eliminating the need to switch to other applications to take action and users can access their IBM Notes email from Apple iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and other mobile devices.

Access and initiate presence awareness and instant messaging chats from the IBM Note email client using IBM Sametime. Also, IBM Sametime offers online meetings, voice, video and file sharing. IBM enables application developers to embed content from applications inside of OpenSocial 2.0 containers, such as a gadget or web page.

Containers and gadgets that support embedded content can render that content in an embedded experience. Companies can use the included OpenSocial component to enable third-party access from their inbox.

It supports IBM iNotes widgets and Live Text, OpenSocial 2.0 gadgets and embedded experiences, and provides updates to XWork Server to promote broader and more flexible license terms.

The OpenSocial component also improves IBM Domino Designer and XPages to enable better IBM Notes, web and mobile applications and provides a range of deployment options.
