Camunda

Camunda Modeler is a desktop application for modeling BPMN workflows, CMMN cases and DMN decisions. It is very easy to use, which means that business analysts can use it as well as developers, working on the same diagrams.

Besides the visual modeling, Camunda Modeler also allows users to edit all properties that are necessary for the technical execution. Since Camunda Modeler works directly on the BPMN, CMMN and DMN XML files, developers can easily combine it with their preferred IDE (for example Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJ). Camunda Modeler leverages bpmn.io, which is probably the most awesome modeling framework in the known universe.

With Camunda Modeler, users can create and edit BPMN 2.0 process diagrams, including technical properties for execution; create and edit DMN 1.1 decision tables, including technical expressions for execution; and create and edit CMMN 1.1 case diagrams, including technical expressions for execution. If users use Eclipse to develop process applications, user models are typically part of an Eclipse project.

With default settings, editing and saving a model in the Camunda Modeler requires manual refreshing of the project content in Eclipse. Eclipse can be configured to automatically refresh project content whenever a file changes by selecting Window / Preferences in the top level menu and navigate to General / Workspace in the preferences window. Tick the box Refresh using native hooks or polling.

The Camunda Modeler covers all BPMN 2.0 elements for modeling processes and collaborations. The Camunda Modeler covers all CMMN 1.1 elements for modeling cases. The Camunda Modeler covers the following elements such as Decision (Tables and Literal Expressions), Input Data, Knowledge Source and Business Knowledge Model.
