Developed in collaboration with the Department of Decision Sciences, I2SDS, and the School of Business, GW’s Master of Science in Business Analytics program offers a curriculum that prepares students for successful careers helping organizations make better decisions through Analytics.The 33-credit hour program is offered in an intensive 10-month format designed for the full-time student or a part-time, two-year format designed for the working professional. Designed for individuals with quantitative backgrounds, the two tracks are geared towards recent graduates with strong analytical backgrounds looking to gain a competitive edge before entering the job market, or professionals working in analytics and looking to further develop their analytic skills.Demand for analytics professionals is growing rapidly, and our faculties have worked with organizations such as IBM and Deloitte to develop a rigorous and balanced curriculum to train our students in the analytic skills needed by top employers. The curriculum encompasses the technical, quantitative and qualitative skills for effectively developing, deploying and communicating business analytics solutions.The MS in Business Analytics curriculum is a distinctive blend of methods, applications, skills & technology. It includes different methods such as Descriptive, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics. Elective courses in Analytics applied to a specific functional area or industry. Workshops in communication and consulting and Hands-on exposure to industry standard Analytics tools/software including emphasis on the SAS tools suite, R Programming, Python, SQL, no-SQL, Tableau and other current and trending technologies.Students can choose one of three time-frames in which to complete the degree, the choices are Accelerated Full-Time which would take 12 months, Full-Time for 16 months and Part Time for 24 months.
