Visualization in 1010data supercharges the Big Data Discovery experience by making insights more visible and accessible. The visualization capabilities allow users to instantly create charts of their data at scale. Visualization is integrated directly into the Trillion-Row SpreadsheetSM, meaning that—unlike other systems—analysts no longer need to deploy separate analytical platforms and visualization tools to analyze data and create charts or graphs. Instead, they can do everything in one place on all the available data, no matter how big. QuickApps give analysts the ability to quickly create high-performing, in-database applications for a wider audience of end users. QuickApps framework provides powerful, in-database application development. Using a combination of built-in and user-defined widgets (input and output screen elements like text boxes, table displays, and charts), user-facing applications can be created inside the 1010data platform in just minutes. QuickApps can be used to create a wide variety of applications, from form-based analyses to management dashboards. QuickApps can also be combined in a modular fashion to create more complex applications. Business users can then leverage these applications to painlessly get the information they need without having to develop the data analysis themselves. Loading and preparing data for analysis is typically one of the most time-consuming tasks when analyzing data. With the introduction of TenUp and the upgrade of PowerLoader, companies can now spend more time actually analyzing data and less time preparing it for analysis.

TenUp, a new client-side data loading tool, allows for the direct transfer of data into 1010data from any ODBC-compliant database. Designed for the IT community, TenUp is a customer utility that makes it easy to move data from enterprise data stores into 1010data. TenUp introduces a single-step process that automatically extracts and loads data and metadata into 1010data from a myriad of databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Hadoop/Hive.

PowerLoader has been enhanced to make getting Big Data into 1010data easier and faster. PowerLoader now supports extended loading sessions to accommodate truly Big Data. The utility now supports the popular GPG format, which enables users to maintain the privacy of their data throughout the entire load process. Lastly, PowerLoader includes newly enhanced diagnostic reporting to help pinpoint and resolve issues when data loads do not progress as planned. 1010data’s Excel Add-in has also been modified to enhance stability and increase performance with many tasks now performing as much as 20x faster than the previous version.
