Vaadin is an open-source web framework that builds apps in JavaScript, HTML, Java EE, Spring, GWT, Java, Scala and Groovy. It includes user interface components for web apps like charting components, tabular data components, buttons, labels, date pickers, and mobile friendly components.

As it uses most JVM languages and a component based approach, the process of building simple web Business Applications is faster and more productive than the one experienced by using complex web technologies. Also, accessing data is simple and efficient. Only a browser will be needed to access the application, leaving plugins aside and REST services. Moreover, the component-based programming model and Java encourage writing reusable modules, and builds single-page HTML5 apps without meddling with low level web technologies.

On the other hand, high-quality Polymer Web Components build great web apps for mobile and desktop, that work on any HTML5 based stack and support Polymer and Angular 2 data binding. Vaadin, besides displaying its free core framework, has developed Pro Tools that increase the quality of the apps, and offers services that work hand in hand with the client to help its project succeed.

The individual Pro Tools are Vaadin Designer that focuses on the architecture, Vaadin Spreadsheet that integrates Micrsoft Excel files in the app, Vaadin Charts that helps visualize data clearly and Vaadin TestBench that is a tool for automated user interface testing web applications. The Vaadin Services include Support, Consulting and Training.
