This program is best suited for individuals looking to launch a successful career in human resources. Students of this program get practical experience with real-world projects and attain the ability to put ideas into action. The degree can be completed as an on-campus program or as an online course. The MHR on-campus program is completed in four semesters and consists of 36 credits which include a summer internship course worth 3 credits. The MHR program maintains strong affiliation with local, national, and international companies that feature revolutionary and strategic HR practices. These companies provide opportunities for students to work on real projects, complete intensive internships, and learn from the industry’s best professionals. The program helps students understand HR practices in a global context. Students in the on-campus program go through a global learning experience by taking part in an organized international trip during the spring break. The program is available as a single degree (MHR) or can be completed as a dual program (MBA or MMIS), which enables students to acquire a second graduate degree in one additional year. The MHR/MBA dual program is customized for those interested in combining a scope of business knowledge with a depth of HR specialization. The MHR/MMIS dual program is designed for those seeking to apply technical skills to the HR function, such as HR Analytics through database mining and dashboard creation.
