The University of Notre Dame’s Executive MBA curriculum will develop your capacity to think strategically, and also help you build the leadership skills required of an executive. The program is focused on instilling such critical skills as situational awareness, strategic analysis, and a systems approach, in order to prepare you for today’s dynamic business world. The EMBA is taught in Stayer Center; the home of Notre Dame Mendoza’s Executive Education department. The center provides multiple executive-style classrooms and team spaces with state-of-the art educational technology. The Executive MBA is delivered in two formats: a 17-month program that meets biweekly in downtown Chicago and a 22-month program that meets Thursday through Saturday once a month at Notre Dame's Stayer Center in South Bend, Indiana. Both programs are taught by experienced faculty scholars who understand what it takes to perform at the highest level. When you first enter the program, you join a small-group study team of individuals from different industries and backgrounds. The team approach creates a collaborative learning environment and enables students to leverage their varying skill sets for maximum success through the program. Performance in the program is determined by team successes on projects as well as individual performance on exams and other classroom deliverables. The program is designed to promote innovative strategic thinking, productive collaboration, and moral imagination. Both programs begin with Executive Integral Leadership, an intensive, weeklong exploration of your leadership style that will teach you how to maximize the effectiveness of your particular strengths and skills. It also incorporates a unique Design Thinking & Innovation course that provides you with new insights into customers' minds. During Electives Week, you will customize your learning experience by enrolling in two courses of your choosing. In addition, you will work with an executive coach to assist you in developing an effective learning and development plan at the beginning of your EMBA program.
