The University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School offers a Full-Time MBA degree program which prepares students to achieve outstanding professional and leadership success. The program features a highly flexible curriculum that allows students to craft an individualized educational experience complemented by optional career concentrations. Students benefit from small class sizes that enable them to learn from their peers as students come from diverse backgrounds. The MBA program’s academic year features two semesters split into 2 modules each. The UNC MBA places a strong emphasis on the case-study method and other small group learning activities. During the first year, students study foundations that prepare them to pursue their educational and career goals. Year one core curriculum consists of 15 required courses and 3 additional core requirements. The first semester provides core business skills that help you develop a deep understanding of key business disciplines. Towards the end of the first year, students choose from an array of more than 125 elective courses designed to match up to intended careers or summer internships. This allows you to tailor your education to design your own course of general management study. The most comprehensive type of concentrations equips you with knowledge and skills that can get you an MBA level job upon graduation. There are other enrichment concentrations provide an additional set of course work to enhance your career concentration. Additional electives cover such areas as Energy, Entrepreneurship, Healthcare, and Sustainable Enterprise.Business projects give students opportunities to test their knowledge outside classroom. Independent Study projects also bolster the learning acquired in the classroom and allow students to develop specialized knowledge to further their business and professional acumen. A Leadership Immersion Capstone offers an unique opportunity to synthesize and deepen your mastery of the core leadership principles through intensive application, individualized feedback, and reflection. The program features Global Education Initiative component that gives you an opportunity to practice and hone every aspect of your global business competency in real world contexts.
