The Master of Project Management (MPM) degree program offered at the University of Mary will help you obtain the skillset needed to become a successful project manager in any industry. The curriculum is designed to provide you with the knowledge, resources and skills necessary to execute projects on time and within budget. Additionally, you will enhance your communication skills and learn team building and leadership skills essential to a wide range of professional careers. The program is offered on-site, online, and as a blended program that includes both online and on-site evening classes. This enables you to balance family, work, and community obligations while pursuing your graduate degree. All faculty members teaching project management specific courses are certified PMP (Project Management Professional). Additionally, as a Registered Education Provider, the University of Mary has been approved by the Project Management Institute to issue professional development units (PDU) for its courses.
The program’s curriculum covers such topics as project initiation, project planning, project execution and control, legal issues, group dynamics, and more. MPM students can also tailor their degree program to fit one of seven areas of industry-driven concentration. Concentrations include: Catholic Philanthropy, Energy Management, Healthcare, Healthcare Informatics, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Virtuous Leadership, and an Executive concentration. The MPM degree program also offers a capstone model in place of the traditional thesis to help create a more positive, less stressful experience for working adult students. At the end of your studies, you will research material for the capstone project throughout your coursework, which will cover a business topic that you are passionate about.
