The Kansas University Master of Science in Business with concentration in Supply Chain Management and Logistics complements the quality training and experience military logisticians will typically enjoy, while providing a broader, civilian economy focus. The exposure better enables officers to interact with civilian business partners while on active duty and provides useful preparation for those who choose to pursue logistics careers after military service. While logisticians are a primary audience, officers from all services and a variety of military specialties have completed the program with great success. A deep background in logistics is not a prerequisite for program entry or for degree completion. Skills in logistics and supply chain management are among the business world's most highly sought-after. In the military or in a future civilian occupation, a master’s degree in this field can be a valuable asset. The Full-Time Program includes 50 hours of coursework and can be completed in as little as 16 months (3 semesters, plus a summer of career exploration). The program is cohort based and special emphasis is placed on social entrepreneurship through our Kansas Impact Project. Specialized tracks are available in Finance and Marketing Supply Chain Management. An optional 4th semester is available for those who wish to specialize and enhance their credentials before entering the job market. New students are admitted each fall semester.
