The University of Georgia, Terry College of Business Full-Time MBA teaches a market-driven curriculum designed to impart business knowledge and skills and improve your teamwork and peer-leadership skills that align with your career goals. The program features small cohorts that form part of a diverse and collaborative learning community in a leading research university. The program is taught by a top-rated faculty who are leaders in their respective fields and serve as consultants to many companies and media outlets. The Full-Time MBA begins with a summer orientation process that takes place 1-2 weeks before the start of classes and focuses on three core elements: team building, additional academic preparation, and internship and job search preparation. The program’s curriculum requires 60 credits to complete and in the first year, students take on a rigorous core curriculum which covers a set of 8 core courses. Additional required courses can be taken in the second year. The second year allows you to pursue your concentration option chosen from the available 9 areas of concentration, which help you gain in-depth knowledge in one of the functional areas of business. You will also study other electives, and/or partake several experiential learning opportunities, both for credit and to satisfy your community service requirement. An example is the school’s innovative project-based courses where you apply innovation design principles to strategic business problems with established companies, business startups and nonprofits. Other activities that foster a learning environment focused on the practical application of knowledge include Critical Design Thinking, student leadership roles, Lean Six Sigma, MBA Leadership Fellows, and other International Residency & Consulting Projects. MBA students are also encouraged to compete in at least one case competition before graduating. A team of career advisors help you develop a career path tailored to your specific goals and based on your unique interests and strengths. The Terry MBA experience also gives you an opportunity to meet, network, and learn from leading employers and outstanding alumni.
