The Colorado University Master of Science in Supply Chain Management curriculum combines instruction in operational strategy and tactics with preparation in the business analytics of global supply chains. The program was designed to develop three integrated skills: Supply chain strategy to better identify opportunity when presented; Technical and quantitative skills delivered through the careful integration of big data analytics (co-listed courses with the MS in business analytics degree) and supply chain quantitative methods (e.g. optimization, decision modeling, et. al), Data visualization and C-suite communication skills to make value apparent and actionable. That blend of skills is a rare commodity, in demand by many of today’s employers. A key component of the Leeds Master's Program in Supply Chain Management is a commitment to preparing its budding professionals for life in the real business world. Critical to achieving that goal is development of key partnerships with Colorado-based companies to provide semester-long student internships as part of curriculum for the master’s degree. Leeds is the only school in the seven-state region known to offer this feature. Leeds School of Business has partnered with over 30 organizations, representing a mix of both large, multinational companies and local Boulder businesses, across a myriad of industries. These partnerships not only provide students with important hands-on experience, they also deepen the relationship between businesses and the Leeds School, helping to ensure the ongoing success of the Master of Science in supply chain management program.
