TomatoCart is a new kind of open source shopping cart solution, branched from osCommerce 3 as a separate project. It uses ExtJS as its underlying framework. It has completely rewritten osCommerce 3 administration site on the mere basis of the qWikiOffice project, which is basically a web desktop implementation of the ExtJS RIA framework.

It includes many high-performance and customizable UI widgets to simplify work with web applications. Web desktop application simulates user experience of the official desktop Operating System. It offers features and applications much similar in their functionality and navigational aspects as to those of a PC environment. This ensures that users can easily be able to start working with TomatoCart without facing any difficulties. Multi-window environments is another useful benefit provided by TomatoCart.

Web desktop application basically allows users to keep several windows open at the same time without intermixing or overlapping of significant data and figures from one window to the other. It also enables users to work with several modules such as orders, products, customers and at the same time, without ever letting the record go astray.

In addition to the commonly used tool, TomatoCart brings forth innovative and user-friendly ideas such as maintenance mode, web mail, and department manager to accommodate better user experiences. The administration panel in TomatoCart offers a couple of promotion skills, which will not only give customers the effective sale methods, but will also create and maintain good and long-term partnerships with other customers as well. The promotion modules in TomatoCart, which has been distributed into four parts, include pricing, product promotion modules, coupons, credits and Email marketing.
