The Stevens Master's degree in Enterprise Project Management features a unique curriculum that emphasizes on business, technical and leadership skills to advance a strategic perspective that’s crucial to modern project management. The program prepares forward-thinking leaders through courses in strategic perspectives, project planning, project portfolio management and cross-project leadership. This transforms students into effective project managers who can direct complex, enterprise-level initiatives on time and on budget. The university is a registered education provider with the Project Management Institute. Therefore, courses in the degree program meet the demanding standards of PMI, and incorporate both project management expertise and leadership development. Courses taken through the School of Business are also eligible for Project Management Professional certification or certification maintenance.

The program’s courses, which were developed through input from industry, emphasize applied learning to ensure students are comfortable with the techniques involved in becoming both project managers and leaders. The Project Management Fundamentals course deals with the basic operational and conceptual issues involved of managing a project. The Project Analytics course focuses on: formalized procedures, tools, and techniques used in conceptual and detailed planning of the project; development of work breakdown structure as the foundation for project cost and project duration; and application of project data in monitoring the project progress and in formulating remedial actions in response to unexpected occurrences. The Leading across Projects and Programs course focuses on key leadership skills for addressing the complex challenges posed by program management environments and cross-national collaborations. The concepts presented are theory and research driven so that participants can deepen their conceptual understanding. The course also requires participants to further transfer learning to their workplaces through focused development planning and coaching support.
