Squid

Squid lets you take handwritten notes on any Android tablet or phone. Squid also provides a better way to organize notes using nested notebooks or folders, labels for notes, sections, and chapters. It allows users to markup PDFs, sign documents, make handwritten notes, or audio notes.

Squid features many editing and sketching options where you can sketch anything from handwritten text, shapes, and images. To select any object, you choose the selection tool (dashed circle icon) from the tool picker, and then select the object by tapping it, or drawing a lasso around it. You can select multiple objects at once by using the lasso method and drawing around all the objects you wish to select.

Squid allows you to edit and delete text as well as change fonts and object colors. It also allows you to switch to view-only mode while reading my notes so I don’t accidentally make any changes when reading a text. Squid also lets you export notes and you can choose to either export a note in entirety or as a single page.

You are also able to choose the file format you wish to export in including PDF, JPEG, or PNG file format. Squid lets copy and paste anything through the clipboard or delete items by just tapping on them. In addition, you can delete handwriting, shapes, and images using the stroke eraser tool, which allows you to delete entire stroke based objects by simply tapping or swiping over them.

Squid also gives you an import options either from an existing note within the app or from outside the app. Squid enables you to create and restore backups to and from Google Drive using the Local Backup feature.
