SciPy Stack, is a collection of open source software for scientific computing in Python, and particularly a specified set of core packages. SciPy is an open source and free python based software used for technical computing and scientific computing. SciPy is commonly used in solving science, engineering and mathematics problems. SciPy features core packages that provide computing tools for Python.
The first package is the Python whose general purpose is acting as the programming language in SciPy. The python provides users with an interactive interface with the ability of interpretation and dynamically typing and suited for interactive work and fast prototyping. Python also allows large applications to be written on it.
The numPy is a fundamental package provided by SciPy that is used for numerical computation. NumPy package enables users to define the arrays which are numerical and types of matrix and perform basic operations on the analyzed data. The SciPy library package contains a collection of domain-specific toolboxes and numerical algorithms. The SciPy library package enables users perform optimization, signal processing and statistics.
The Matplotib is a plotting package that provides users with rudimentary 3D plotting and publication-quality 2D plotting. The pandas package provides users with data structures that are easy to use and also high performance structures. SciPy also features SymPy that is used by users for computer algebra and symbolic mathematics.
The IPython package provides an interactive interface for users that allow them to quickly process test and data ideas. The IPython package provides the IPython notebook that works in a user’s web browser therefore allowing the user to document their computation in an easy and reproducible form. The nose package provided by SciPy provides users with a framework for testing a python code.
