SAP SQL Anywhere : SAP SQL Anywhere provides Developers the tools required to rapidly design and power embedded database applications for mobile and remote environments. SAP SQL Anywhere provides high-performance support for relational database management and enables rapid development and deployment of database-powered applications. SAP SQL Anywhere and related data management software are designed to run in environments where there is no on-site IT support. SAP SQL Anywhere Licensing Models: SAP SQL Anywhere is licensed under two licensing models: User-based and Processor-based.

• User-based Licensing: In the User-based model, a license is required for each user accessing the multi-user server. A license for the multi-user server is included in each Edition. If additional multi-user server licenses are required, then additional Editions (base packages) must be purchased. Additional User licenses and Options can be purchased separately.

• Processor-based Licensing: In the Processor model, the multi-user server is licensed based on the number of Chips the server is utilizing with a Chip license required for each Chip utilized. Additional licenses for Network Clients accessing the server are not required. Network clients are connected clients directly accessing the multi-user server, thin clients directly accessing the server and clients indirectly accessing the server through a multiplexor or pooling application or device. The SAP SQL Anywhere CHIP licenses do not include any licenses for Remote Database Clients. User licenses for Remote Database Users and other Options can be purchased separately.
