Raiffeisen to use SAP InfiniteInsight for Data Analysis

Raiffeisen to use SAP InfiniteInsight for Data Analysis : Raiffeisen is the third largest banking group in Switzerland and market leader in the retail sector. Raiffeisen will draw on the expertise and technology platform from SAP to support its consulting services and has signed a corresponding contract with SAP Switzerland for a solution which is based on the SAP HANA platform, using the SAP InfiniteInsight. Raiffeisen’s aim is to strengthen customer relationships and increase the success of marketing campaigns.SAP has implemented a series of typical application cases in a feasibility study. The combination of SAP HANA and SAP InfiniteInsight has convinced not only the representatives of the user departments, but also those involved from IT. SAP InfiniteInsight consists of InfiniteInsight Explorer, InfiniteInsight Modeler, InfiniteInsight Scorer, InfiniteInsight Social, InfiniteInsight Recommendation and InfiniteInsight Factory. InfiniteInsight Explorer is a semantic layer used to facilitate data preparation. InfiniteInsight Modeler allows to create models as varied as classification, regression, clustering, time series, association rules. InfiniteInsight Scorer exports classification, regression and clustering models in different formats allowing to apply easily them in production environment. InfiniteInsight Social improves decision and prediction capacities of models by extracting and using implicit structural relational information stored in different kinds of data sets. InfiniteInsight Recommendation generates product recommendations for customers based on the social network analysis provided by InfiniteInsight. InfiniteInsight Factory allows to manage models throughout time by scheduling model training and data set deviation detection tasks.

“In conjunction with the feasibility study, the specialists from SAP worked with the project team to implement the specified application cases within the space of a few weeks,” said Matthias Faupel, project manager at Raiffeisen. “SAP was able to demonstrate where potential may exist for Raiffeisen in the context of predictive analyses. In addition to the solution quality, we were above all impressed by the constructive and targeted collaboration.” SAP HANA will be used as a platform for analyzing and managing data of relevance to sales and distribution. Thanks to the high performance of the SAP HANA in-memory technology, together with the integrated analysis options, evaluations can be performed more quickly and precisely.

SAP InfiniteInsight allows statistical models to be formed in a simple and user-friendly manner. Analysts from the user departments do not require in-depth statistical training in order to generate models that provide precise forecasts. User departments can thus concentrate on the analysis of the models and the results obtained.

“The situation in banking today is that the number of personal contacts with the customer is decreasing as a result of online banking, thus making it increasingly important to perform analytical evaluations of customer requirements,” said Stefan Inderbitzin, Industry Head Sales Financial Services, SAP Switzerland. “One consequence of this is that Raiffeisen decided to look for a partner for complex analyses. We are extremely happy that the third-largest banking group in Switzerland has chosen SAP. Being awarded this contract confirms that our vision of using SAP HANA to bring about lasting change in the world of business is becoming reality and that our solutions for predictive analyses also meet the toughest requirements in terms of performance, functionality and user-friendliness.”
