Postmark makes it easy to send time-sensitive transactional email to the customers. Postmark ensures lower inbound emails are delayed. The user’s data is safe and secure with N+ 2 redundancies, regular security audits, and the latest encryption.
Since Postmark only allows Transactional email, every endpoint, hook, and API tool is designed specifically to support everything the user need to do with transactional email in the web application. Postmark SMTP integration helps the user to be up and running and switch to a more robust API integration as time allows, or the user can dive right in to a full API integration using the client library of their choice. Postmark setup process and API documentation make things as easy as possible, and the API Explorer lets the user test drive any of the API calls against the account to quickly get an idea of what the requests and responses look like with real data.
Postmark uses the concept of servers to help organize their transactional email into logical groups with different servers for each of their applications or environments. That way they can have focused reports, limited access API keys, and a simple way to share access with their team. Postmark supports opportunistic TLS for all outbound email; ensuring messages are encrypted in transit to remote mail servers and ISPs who support TLS. Postmark works around the clock checking for downtime and if sending slows down even a little bit, it’ll be all over it.
The user can set up open and click webhooks to notify the user application when customers engage with their emails, and use the bounce and delivery webhooks to check emails reach their destination successfully. Postmark even gives the user API endpoints to integrate DKIM, SPF, and DMARC support for their customers’ domains. The Rebound JavaScript snippet taps into the Postmark API to check for hard bounces and prompts the customers to update their email address if they've experienced deliverability issues in the past.
Postmark includes pre-built templates for welcome emails, comment notifications, password resets, receipts and invoices, trial expirations, user invitations, and comment notifications. The user can edit the templates right in Postmark, send themself a test email, and switch between HTML and text versions. Postmark gives the user a detailed user permissions so the user can control who has access to each of the servers.
