The Pepperdine University’s MS in Management and Leadership is a comprehensive 16-month master's program equips students with the skills needed to influence meaningful change across local and global organizations. The MS in Management and Leadership will also provide you with the best practices to strategically plan, organize, and execute both organizational and team building processes. The program is taught by a supportive faculty who share a common passion and commitment to teaching, and who conduct the instruction themselves as well as provide you with direct, personal feedback. This program focuses on concepts of organization theory and the behavioral sciences such as enhanced self-awareness, group dynamics, organization and work design, and culture. Students learn how to apply these concepts to current managerial challenges which include; increasing influence, conflict management, systems thinking, productivity improvement, and overall organizational performance. The program feature small-unit classes that provide you with a collaborative setting so you can interact personally with your fellow classmates and build lifelong relationships with professionals from almost every industry in California. As part of the program’s requirements, you are required to create a leadership development plan, receive individual peer coaching, complete a service-leadership project in the community, and undertake an applied consulting project in a client organization. You should also take part in three integrative workshops which will culminate in a final capstone project, in which you will integrate and apply all theories, frameworks, and learning from across the program and present it as your final capstone project. You are also given an opportunity to become global business savvy by completing a one week program of study abroad to destinations such as Oxford, Shanghai, Argentina, and Hong Kong. This facility lets you learn from a global expertise and gain a grasp of the international marketplace that you can only get through real experience.
