The 30-credit degree program is AACSB accredited and can be completed within two years. In addition, Penn State is a Project Management Institute (PMI®) Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.), and so you’ll be earning a well-respected credential. The program is total by a faculty of distinguished scholars in the field of project management. It features a world-class curriculum designed to meet the needs of companies that are heavily engaged in large-scale projects, and which require the highest level of expertise in the management of projects. The program is also structured in a way that encourages interaction with your high-caliber classmates who work in a variety of industries, enabling you to learn from each other and develop lifelong career relationships.

The program starts with a 24-credit project management core featuring interdisciplinary courses that teach project management skills and techniques needed to manage projects in a modern business environment. And because the first four courses of the master's program feature in the 12-credit Graduate Certificate in Project Management, you’ll earn this certificate way before you complete the full degree. The master’s degree curriculum also lets you tailor your course work to align with your personal interests and career goals. You are allowed to choose 6 credits of electives in a relevant topical area, or complete a research capstone project based on a current project management issue in your organization.
