Ninite Pro is a patch management software used to patch and secure software in organizations. Ninite Pro typically allows managing software in a live web interface. Its interface is in a row, and each app is in a column.
Through this, users can select an individual cell to install, update, or uninstall an app or machine. Ninite Pro offers an excellent platform for the roaming laptops and offline machines to work like any other machine in the web interface. Ninite Pro also allows installing/updating/uninstalling commands for offline machines and have them be delivered to the next time those machines are online.
Ninite Pro provides simple download caching to save on bandwidth. The patch management software makes this possible by allowing users to mark some of their machines as cache servers and have other machines route their downloads through them. The software goes ahead to enable delivering data directly without doing another download if the cache server already has a copy of the requested data.
Through this, the updates are made faster and save a lot of bandwidth. Ninite Pro makes it easy to configure and change the cache server settings right from the web interface. Ninite Pro offers easy automatic update policies that allow setting up of auto-update policies to apply updates as soon as they are available. The automatic update policies also facilitate locking up of apps, if the user wants extra assurance.
Ninite Pro can automatically tag machines with their online or offline status and even if they are running Windows server or workstation. Through this, it makes it easy for users to drill down to the machines they are interested in.
