The Supply Chain Management Residential (SCMr) Master’s program is designed to provide advanced and specialized training in supply chain management to professionals already working the supply chain field. Candidates for this program are required to have background training on quantitative methods and analytical thinking including some college-level calculus, linear algebra, probability, or statistics. In addition, only students with at least two years of relevant work experience are encouraged to apply. To complete this program, students are required to tackle 90 units of coursework over a period of 10 months on a full-time basis. Students undertaking the SCMr program normally have two program paths to choose from. They can study the course as a Master of Applied Science in Supply Chain Management (MASc-SCM), which is designed for students targeting a career in industry or consulting upon graduation. One can also enroll for the Master of Engineering in Supply Chain Management (MEng-SCM), which is mainly research-focused and is suitable for students whose aim is to advance their research portfolio or pursue a Doctorate degree. Each of these degree options requires 90 units and features similar curriculums except that the MASc-SCM option requires a 9-unit Capstone project whereas the MEng-SCM option requires a 12-unit thesis project. The Supply Chain Management (Residential) program is optimized for entrants in various supply chain and operations roles so they can get intensive training to advance their careers and prepare themselves for a much higher level of responsibility and a larger paycheck as well. The program features small cohorts enabling students to get personal career coaching and job search support.
