Graduates of the program attain a strong foundation in current HR practices together complete with a global perspective on issues impacting employee management, in the process enhancing their knowledge, application, and critical thinking abilities. The program gives you the expertise and skills needed to advance your career, and also strengthen your analytical, team, and communication skills, and increase your understanding of business ethics and social responsibility. The program features a well-structured, practical curriculum that focuses on providing hands-on training, often in collaboration with established local businesses, and taught by nationally-recognized instructors who are committed to enhancing the learning experience. Loyola’s MSHR students also have the benefit of access to a strong alumni and human resources network in Chicago. The program also features flexible course planning that allows students to tailor their education to individual interests and talents. It also fully aligns with SHRM’s guidelines that define HR education standards taught in university business schools across the country and that help universities develop human resources degree programs that follow these standards.

The M.S. in Human Resources can be pursued full-time or part-time. Graduate human resources classes are held weekday evenings on Loyola's Water Tower Campus, as well as online. Students with three years of human resources experience take 12 classes, but those without take an extra internship class. Loyola’s global human resources study abroad program offers an enriched learning experience, and also serves as a brilliant foundation for a competitive career in today's global society. It gives students a unique opportunity to take an intensive two week course in countries such as India, China, Australia, and Ireland.
