It’s accurate, this is assured because it uses time tested double entry accounting principles that help ensure that your finances are kept in correct order.

KMyMoney is easy to use in that it strives to be the easiest open source personal finance manager to use, this is more so for the non-technical user.

KMyMoney also has familiar features as it intends to provide all important features found in the commercially-available, personal finance managers. The current release is closer than ever to that goal and more improvements are already planned or being tested. KMyMoney is the Personal Finance Manager for KDE. It operates similar to Quicken, supports various account types, categorization of expenses, multiple currencies, online banking support via QIF, OFX and HBCI, budgeting and a rich set of reports.

It supports different account types, categorization of expenses and incomes, reconciliation of bank accounts and import/export to the “QIF” file format. Categories and sub-categories allow transactional data to be rolled up into a parent child relationship.
