Understanding and using ElasticSearch and other products of the Elastic stack on your own can be a daunting task. This is where Kibana comes in. Kibana steps in to make elastic search user experience fun and adventurous.
Kibana allows the user visualize ElasticSearch data and maneuver the Elastic Stack efficiently. Kibana utilizes interactive visualizations which allow the user shape their information in the form they want to; it could be histograms, pie charts, sunbursts or even line graphs. It does not stop at these shapes, relationships of data in graphs can easily be analyzed as well. Kibana features the use of Elastic Maps Service to display geospatial and location data.The time composer of Kibana, the Timelion enables the user to combine independent sources of information in a single visualization.
Kibana uses machine learning to detect data irregularities and their sources. Other products in Elastic Stack include Beats, Logstash, X-Pack, and Cloud. Together, they aid the user in data collection, evaluation as well as monitoring.The Elastic Stack comes in five packages; Open Source, Basic, Gold, Platinum, and Enterprise. Open Source and Basic are free as well as their licenses. The other packages have to be paid for, but the user needs to contact the developers for their prices.
