You can easily extract words automatically from data and statistically analyze them to obtain a whole picture and explore the features of the data while avoiding the prejudices of the researcher. You can also specify coding rules, such as “if there is a particular expression, we regard it as an appearance of the concept A”, and extract concepts from the data so you can then statistically analyze the concepts to deepen the analysis. KH Coder uses Stanford POS Tagger to extract words from English data, R for statistical analysis, and MySQL to organize and retrieve the data. Since the source code is open to the public, you can check what the software does if necessary and it is open to verification by third parties which is very desirable especially for academic uses.
