The program’s unique curriculum helps you develop key business and leadership skills. The program’s core courses provide a solid foundation in the functional areas of business which prepare you to get the most out of your elective coursework. The program’s curriculum, through innovative electives, tracks, and concentrations, also provides you the flexibility to tailor your education around your specific personal career goals and interests. They help you gain a deeper knowledge base or a broader perspective on the different areas of business. You will choose 33 hours of electives (11 courses) which includes one required international business course. Students can customize their curriculum further by choosing one or more concentrations from a variety of functional and interdisciplinary business disciplines. You can also build deep expertise in emerging areas through immersive tracks in leading innovation which combine academic coursework with practical, hands-on projects with companies and supplement in-class activities with co-curricular activities. Each immersive track includes a required practicum course in which students work on a real project with a world-class company or novel startup. Summer Internships gives you an opportunity to apply what you learn in your first year, to build a professional network, and to benefit from full-time employment opportunities. You can also participate in a unique leadership development program that includes diverse assessments, workshops, self-study groups, and mentoring to develop your leadership skills. The Jones MBA Career Center helps students develop individual plans that will lead to challenging and rewarding careers in management. Throughout your MBA program, the Center will help you practice interviewing skills, highlight your unique strengths, target the right companies, and find your dream job.
