The Fordham University’s MS in Global Finance (MSGF) program curriculum enables students to gain knowledge in financial topics ranging from financial theory, global portfolio strategies, emerging economies, asset management, to risk management. The program features a three-semester schedule that can be completed in 12 months or up to 18 months for those students who have to take an internship course. To complete the degree, a student is required to undertake a total of 36 credits distributed across 12 courses. The program is taught by leading experts in global finance and in a location at the heart of a global financial world as the campus is located a subway ride away from Wall Street, NYSE, and NASDAQ, which all play an influential role in national and global economies. Students who are studying MSGF program are able to network with business leaders and the school’s alumni for employment and internship opportunities. Students in the program benefit from interactions with colleagues from diverse cultures – from Germany to China, from Turkey to Taiwan – which enable them to gain a global perspective during classroom discussions and collaborative projects. The MSGF program is STEM-approved which makes for a big boost for international students who, as a result, can work for a longer period without the immediate need of sponsorship. This global finance degree is a perfect fit for those students intending to acquire the skill set for a career in today's globalized financial service industry. A foundation in economics, finance, statistics, and accounting is not a requirement, but could be a plus. Students can study these courses online and can also attend on-site boot camps to get support in these areas prior to the start of the program.
